2019/20 will be my 40th season playing for the club. In that time I've been captain of the Vets, 2nd XI, 3rd XI, 4A, 5th, 6th and 7th XIs- and Men's Club Captain.
My proudest moments have been being involved in the club's triple HA Trophy wins in the '90s, and the men's club attaining National League status on both the Indoor and Outdoor game. And many moons ago when the club was struggling for quality players there was a brief period where I was 1st XI top scorer...1 friendly, 1 league and 1 cup goal!
Current duties are: Press Officer, Club Archivist, Photographer, Chief Ranter etc
If I'm not at the cage, I'll probably be walking the dog*, or I might be watching birds in some far flung outpost with Wilco as the theme music. Or (more likely) I'll be in a pub talking C**p. Also now have to look after the health and development of a daughter..I wonder if she'll become a hockey player?
*Rogue, the dog, was especially good at finding balls in the undergrowth around the astro, in her 14 yrs she must have saved the club a small fortune.
Hopefully our new hound, Laika will be as good.
