West Herts Hockey Club - Covid Information

Below you will find out considerations and procedures in light of Covid-19 and the requirements of the UK government and England Hockey. To be updated as guidance changes.

Up to 30 players can attend in each session allocated with a coach. All players must pre-register for a traning session using the booking system.  


All players and umpires must be registered with England Hockey. The website teamsheet system must be used by each team for each match to identify who is playing and the West Herts umpires. The maximum squad size is 16.

All first aid kits should include gloves and face masks.

Home games

Toilets will be available but not changing rooms. No teas will be provided. The bar will be open to buy drinks which must be consumed outside (only bottles/cans and no glasses)

Opposition must confirm all players are registered with England Hockey and provide the contact details of their Covid-19 officer.

Teams should not enter the cage until the players from the previous game have all exited. One gate will be used for entry and the other for exiting.

The home team captain must organise for the dugouts to be wiped down after the game using the provided spray products.

No spectators are allowed in the cage. A maximum of three substitutes are allowed in the dugout and should maintain social distancing.

Away games

Players must comply with government guidelines if travelling with other people.

It is assumed there will be no changing rooms available or teas provided unless we hear otherwise from the opposition.
