It was with enormous sadness that we learnt of the death of Chris Beech, who represented the club during the 80s and 90s, captaining the 2nd XI during that time.
"Beechy" was an extremely competitive forward player who loved his hockey- until illness curtailed his career.
He loved the social side of the club too and was a regular fixture of the bar at Park Avenue enjoying a pint and dissecting the day's game with gusto.
Our sympathies go out to his wife Liz and their two sons...and to all the members of Harrow RFC, where Chris coached and both Tom and Will played.
We don't have any details of the funeral at this stage.
